The short version: we ask for the least we can. Your inspection report is used to build your Walkthrough Report and nothing else. An inspection report names a specific home and usually its address, so we treat it as the sensitive document it is. We never sell it, and nobody trains a model on it.

This policy covers roostlore.com and the Walkthrough Report you can buy here. The RoostLore app, which you sign in to, has its own terms and its own deletion schedule.
Your report may name other people — your inspector and their license number, the seller, your agent — and may include photographs of the home's interior. We use that only to build your report. We do not contact those people and we do not sell or share any of it.
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or social trackers, which is why you are not being asked to accept any. Our only measurement is Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not follow you to other sites. When you click through to pay, Stripe's payment page is Stripe's own site and sets its own cookies.
That list is complete. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We hand it to anyone else only when the law forces us to, and if that happens we will tell you unless we are legally barred from telling you.
We delete on a sweep we run monthly, so the real window can run up to a month longer than the figures above. When we delete email, our provider holds it in its trash for up to 30 more days before it is purged for good.
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One email to privacy@roostlore.com is enough; you do not need to cite a law, and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
We answer these requests only at the email address that made the purchase. If you write from a different address we will ask you to confirm from the one that paid, before we send or delete anything. That is there to stop someone else getting a copy of your report, or destroying it.
If you are in California: we do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We never have.
The periods above cover the copy you email us. If a document is later loaded into the RoostLore app, the app's own schedule governs that copy: deleting it there removes it from view immediately, and the underlying file is held in a restricted location for at least 30 days before it is destroyed. The app's terms describe that in full.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your documents travel and rest in our email and working files, protected by the account security of those services and by access limited to the person building your report. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If your information is ever exposed, we will email you within 72 hours of finding out.
This is a service for people buying or owning a home. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. If a change materially affects a report you have already sent us, we will email you.
